Marketing & Communications Internship

Indiana Sports Corp provides internship opportunities that immerse students in a professional working environment while introducing them to the not-for-profit industry. Internships are available based on business needs and can include event and volunteer operations; communications; marketing; graphic design; community engagement; sports tourism; business development; and finance. ISC's fast paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.

The Marketing & Communications Internship is designed to expand a student's knowledge and hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and event promotion. Interns will play an active role in supporting marketing and communications campaigns across Indiana Sports Corp events and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including brainstorming concepts, identifying promotional opportunities and supporting campaign deliverables.
• Contribute ideas for engaging content, campaigns and storytelling across digital, social, email and event platforms.
• Assist with the creation, scheduling, and management of targeted email campaigns.
• Support planning, content creation, and live event coverage across platforms.
• Aid in pre-event setup and on-site media logistics.
• Help maintain and update event-related web content.
• Draft and edit media advisories, press releases, and promotional copy

Preferred Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
• Basic understanding of public relations practices, including press release writing and media outreach
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, especially in content creation, proofreading, and campaign execution
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
• Interest in sports, live events, or sports tourism industries

Qualifications:

Undergraduate and Graduate Students Must be currently pursuing or have recently earned a degree from an accredited undergraduate or graduate program

Internship Details:

Term: January 19th, 2027 - May 7th, 2027

Schedule: 4-5 days per week (approximately 30-40 hours/week)

Stipend: $2000

Location: On-site - Indianapolis, Indiana. Relocation or housing is not available
